DISGRACE

PAIN GATHERS IN TORTUOUS WAVES
IN THE QUIET CORNER OF MY EMPTY HEART.
THIS BURDEN YOU HAVE GIVEN ME
IS TEARING MY VERY SOUL APART.

CLUTCHING AND TEARING, GIVING SUCH PAIN
THAT TEARS GATHER TO QUENCH ITS FIRE.
THE PAIN GROWS STRONGER, YET STILL REMAINS
A HOPELESS, SENSELESS SCREAM OF DESIRE.

YOURS WAS A TOXIC LOVE,
POISONING MY HEART FOR ANY OTHER.
A PASSIONATE, POSSESSIVE, ARDENT LOVE
MY SOUL WAS EAGER TO DISCOVER.

YOU LEFT ME STUNNED, BEWILDERED, EMPTY,
MID CHAOS OF THE MIND.
YOU LEFT MY HEART SO FILLED WITH GRIEF
THAT I THOUGHT TO LEAVE THIS WORLD BEHIND.

THE PAIN WILL LINGER EVER MORE;
I'M TRAPPED IN ITS EMBRACE.
I WON THE BATTLE, BUT LOST THE WAR
AND PAIN IS MY DISGRACE.
